Scheduling Maps

Networks are continually evolving and changes in firewall rules or DNS setups may allow intruders to find more information than they should. It's important to stay informed of the devices visible on your network by potential intruders. To ensure constant security, schedule maps to run immediately, on specific dates, or on a recurring basis: daily, weekly, or monthly. The scheduling feature ensures that maps are run automatically on a regular basis, and reduces the time necessary to set up and start them.

To schedule a map:

1.    Select nav_schedule.jpg Schedule from the left menu.

2.    Go to New > Schedule Map.

3.    Specify settings in the following sections:

Task Title. Provide a title, change the task owner, and select a scanner and option profile to apply to the scheduled task.

Target Domains. Identify the target for this scheduled task. The target may consist of any combination of asset groups, domains and IPs/ranges. IPs/ranges are entered in the Domains/Netblocks field.

Scheduling. Specify the start date and time, the maximum run time and how often this task should occur.

Notifications. Enable the notification option to receive an email each time this scheduled task is scheduled to start.

4.    Click Save.
