Provide a title, change the task owner, and select an option profile and scanner appliance to apply to the scheduled task.
Enter a unique title for your scheduled task. The title may contain a maximum of 64 characters.
Typically, the user who creates the scheduled task is the owner of the scheduled task. To change the owner, select a different user from the Task Owner menu. Managers can change task ownership to any other Manager, Unit Manager or Scanner in the subscription. Unit Managers can change task ownership to any other Unit Manager or Scanner within their business unit. Scanners cannot change task ownership.
Select an option profile for a scheduled vulnerability scan or a compliance profile for a scheduled compliance scan.
Select an option profile to apply to the scheduled vulnerability scan. Configuration settings defined in the option profile will affect your results.
The default option profile is selected automatically. This profile is recommended best practice to get started. To make another selection, do one of the following: 1) start typing the option profile title in the field provided and then select an option profile from the list of option profiles whose titles match what you type, or 2) click the Select link to view all available option profiles, including option profiles already in your account and option profiles you can import from the Library.
Select a compliance profile to apply to the scheduled compliance scan. Configuration settings defined in the compliance profile will affect your results.
A compliance profile in your account is selected automatically, if one already exists in your account. The Compliance Profile field will be empty until you (or another user in the subscription) create a compliance profile. You cannot launch or schedule compliance scans until at least one compliance profile is available in your account. The service does not provide a default compliance profile.
To view the current settings for a compliance profile, select the profile title from the menu and then click View. The settings will appear in the compliance profile information window. From this window, you can select File > Edit to make changes to the profile settings and your changes are saved in the profile and applied to the task. Note that not all users have permission to edit option profiles.
(Appears only when there are scanner appliances in your account) Select a scanner option: Default (for default scanner in asset group), External (for external scanners), or a scanner appliance name. For scheduled scans, you may also select "All Scanners in Asset Group" for scanner parallelization.
