Target Domains

In the Target Domains section, enter one or more map targets (registered domains, IPs/ranges and asset groups). When multiple targets are provided, the service produces a separate map report for each target. See Sample Map Targets for examples of map target entries and the number of maps produced.

Before You Begin

Important notes about mapping IPs/ranges:

Review map options. If you map IPs/ranges without a domain, be sure to enable the map option "Perform live host sweep" in the option profile applied to the task.

Define the None domain. Go to your domain assets list (Tools > Domain Assets) to determine whether the None domain has already been defined for your account. If you plan to manually enter IPs/ranges in the Domains/Netblocks field, then those IPs must be included in the None domain configuration. For example, to map the IP ranges 64.41.134.59-64.41.134.61 and 10.10.10.1-10.10.100, the None domain must be defined in your account like this:

none:[64.41.134.59-64.41.134.61,10.10.10.1-10.10.100]

Note that when you map IPs from asset groups, the IPs do not have to be part of the None domain configuration.

See About the None Domain for more information.

Asset Groups

Enter one or more asset groups to map, separating each with a comma. Click Select to choose from a list of asset groups you have privileges to.

Assets from Asset Groups

Identify whether you want to map the domains, IPs or both from the asset groups specified in the Asset Groups field.

Domains. This option is enabled by default. When selected, the service creates a separate map for each domain in the asset groups.

IPs. When selected, the service creates a single map for each asset group including all the group's IP addresses. The map report lists the target domain for each group as "none:[netblock]" where netblock includes the IP addresses from the asset group. When you map IPs from asset groups, the IPs do not have to be part of the None domain configuration.

Domains/Netblocks

Enter one or more domains and netblocks to map, separating each with a comma. Click Select to choose from a list of domains in your account.

If a netblock was specified as part of a domain configuration on the Domain Assets page (Tools > Domain Assets), then you only need to specify the domain name at this time. The netblock will be used automatically. You may, however, enter a portion of the netblock if you do not want the entire netblock mapped.

The Domains/Netblocks field accepts any of the following entries.
