Specify scheduling details like start date and time, duration, max running time and occurrence.
Specify a start date and time for this scheduled task. Note that scheduled tasks may not launch exactly at the time specified. If several users schedule tasks at the same time, they will be queued for processing. The scan/map dispatcher will launch tasks in one-minute intervals. Consequently, your task may launch several minutes after the desired start time.
Date. Enter the month, day and year when this scheduled task should go into effect. Use the calendar pop-up to assist you.
Time. Enter the start time for your scheduled task. Enter hours and minutes in 24 hour format.
Time Zone. Select the local time zone (GMT shift and location) that this schedule applies to. For example, if you're in California, then select "(GMT -0800) United States (California)". If you're in Rome, select "(GMT +0100) Italy: Milan, Rome". Some time zones include locations that observe Daylight Saving Time and others that do not. For this reason, it's important that you make the correct time zone selection.
DST. Select this option to automatically observe Daylight Saving Time (DST). When enabled, the service automatically adjusts the start time for your scheduled task to reflect your current local time. Note that this option is not available if you've selected a location that never observes DST, meaning that time is the same during Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time. For more information, see Daylight Saving Time.
Specify how long the scheduled task should run. By default, there is no cut off time set for the task.
Pause after <number> hours. (Only applicable to vulnerability and compliance scans.) Select this option to automatically pause the task after a set number of hours. You can specify a running time of 1 to 120 hours.
Cancel after <number> hours. Select this option to automatically cancel the task after a set number of hours. Once canceled, the task cannot be resumed. You can specify a running time of 1 to 120 hours.
If you've set the scheduled scan to pause after a set number of hours, then you must also specify whether you'd like to resume it manually or automatically. Note that Resume options only apply to vulnerability and compliance scans.
Manually. Resume a paused scan manually from the scans list.
1-9 days. Resume a paused scan automatically by the service in 1 to 9 days.
Note: If a paused scan is not resumed and completed within 30 days from the initial launch date, then it will be canceled automatically. If you resume a scan and then pause it again, the initial 30 day window still applies.
Specify how often this scheduled task should occur.
Daily. Select to launch your task every 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, etc. Enter up to 365 days.
Weekly. Select to launch your task every week on the days that you specify. Optionally, schedule the task to launch every 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, etc. Enter up to 52 weeks.
Monthly. Select to launch your task every month on the date that you specify. For example, you may schedule the task to launch on the 25th of every month or schedule the task to launch on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Optionally, schedule the task to run every 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, etc. Enter up to 12 months.
Note: If you schedule the task to run on the 31st of every month, the task will run every month even when the month is shorter than 31 days. During shorter months, the task is run on the last day of the month.
Ends after <number> occurrences. Select to set your task to end after a specified number of occurrences. Enter the number of times you want the task to run in the field provided. When the set number of occurrences is reached, the task will automatically deactivate.
