Patch Template: User Access

Note: This feature is only available when Report Share is enabled. This tab only appears to Managers and Unit Managers.

Select the User Access tab to grant users access to reports generated from this template. You can grant access to any user who wouldn't be distributed the report automatically, based on their account settings. This is a way, for example, to share Manager-created reports with Unit Managers, Scanners and Readers.

Once added, users on the access list are granted access for each report generated by this template. When a report is completed, the service sends a report notification to users in the access list (when the report notification option is selected in the user account) and lists the report in the user's report history list. When a user is granted permission to access a report in this way, the user can view all report content even if the IPs in the report are not in the user's account. Additionally, Auditors may be granted permission to access reports based on vulnerability scan data even though Auditors by default only have visibility into compliance scan data. See Grant Report Access Privileges for more information.

Note that you can also grant users report access for a single report from Report Share. To do so, select Info (ico_info.jpg) for any completed report in your report history list to view report information. Then add users to the access list for the completed report. Managers and Unit Managers can revoke a report from the view of a user that they added by removing the user from the access list of the completed report. See User Access for more information.
