Share Scan with PCI

Follow the steps below to share a PCI scan with your PCI account. Then log into your PCI account to generate a PCI network report and complete the required actions for PCI certification: 1) submit the report to your ASV for approval, and 2) once approved, submit the report to your acquiring banks. You can share any completed PCI scan on your scan history list with the PCI Merchant accounts that you have linked to.

User Permissions: Any user with scan permissions (Manager, Unit Manager, or Scanner) can share a PCI scan with one of their own PCI Merchant accounts. These restrictions apply to all users: 1) Share one scan per PCI Merchant subscription. You can export a scan to a PCI Merchant one time only. (Note: If a particular scan has been exported to any PCI account in the same Merchant subscription as your PCI account, the scan can't be exported.) 2) Share one scan to one PCI Merchant account at a time. If scan sharing to a PCI account is in progress, you can't share another scan to the same account until scan sharing is completed.

To share a scan with PCI:

1.    Select ico_scan.jpg Scan from the left menu.

2.    (optional) Go to New > PCI Account Links. Review the PCI Merchant accounts that you have linked to. Add another account link if you wish to share a scan with a PCI account that is not listed. (User Permissions: After a Manager adds a link to a PCI Merchant subscription, any user can link to an existing PCI account in the same subscription.) A Manager has the option to create a new PCI Merchant subscription and link to it.

3.    On the scan history list, identify the completed PCI scan (with status "Finished") you'd like to share. Scans eligible for export are scans that used the option profile "Payment Card Industry (PCI) Options" and the External Scanners. Click anywhere in the data list row to select a PCI scan. Information about the scan will appear in the preview pane below the data list. (If the preview pane is hidden, go to the View menu and select Layout > Preview Pane to show it.)

4.    Click the Share with PCI button in the preview pane.

5.    Select the PCI Merchant account that you want to share the scan with. All PCI Merchant accounts that you have linked to are listed. See PCI Account Links Setup if you want to share this scan with another PCI account that is not listed. Note: It's not possible for you to share a PCI scan with a PCI account if scan sharing to that account is in progress (when sharing is in progress, the share status is "Queued" or "In Progress").

6.    Click the Share button. Please note:

The service always shares the full scan results, including all IPs in the scan target, regardless of whether the user who shares the PCI scan has permissions to all IPs in the scan results.

Any IPs that are not already included in the destination PCI account will be added automatically.

7.    Review the success message that confirms the PCI scan has been exported to your selected PCI account.

8.    Click the PCI Login button pci_login_button.gif to log into the PCI service with the selected Merchant user account. Once logged in, you will see the PCI scan on the Scan Results list (Network > Scan Results). The scan status will be "Importing" while the scan is being imported into your PCI account. When the scan status is "Finished" you can view the scan results and go to the Compliance Status page (Compliance > Compliance Status) to generate PCI network report and take required actions for PCI certification: 1) submit the report to your ASV for approval, and 2) once approved, submit the report to your acquiring banks.

9.    Click Close to close the window with the confirmation message.
