Creating Policy Report Templates

Policy compliance reports identify compliance with a specific compliance policy. Use the custom template generator to create a new template for generating policy compliance reports. The report template settings determine what information is included in the policy report and how that information is displayed.  

The ability to create policy report templates is only available if the compliance module is enabled in your subscription and you have compliance management privileges.

 

To create a template:

1.    Select Report Templates from the left menu, under Tools. The report templates list appears.

2.    Go to New > Policy Template.

3.    Specify options in the following sections.

      General Information. Provide a title for the report template. Managers and Unit Managers can also specify whether the template should be globally available. Initially, the user who creates the template is the owner of the template. Managers and Unit Managers can edit the template after it is saved to change the owner.

      Report Layout. Identify how you want to group the detailed results (by hosts or controls) and select sections to include in the report.

      Trending. Select the number of days (7-90) that you'd like to include in trend graphs.

      Frameworks. Identify which frameworks you want to display in the report: all available frameworks or a custom list of frameworks.

4.    Click Save.

Your template appears in the report templates list. You can run this template at any time to generate a report.
