Host attribute names appear in all Host Information views throughout the subscription for all users. Managers and Unit Managers may provide values for these attributes on a per host basis by editing host information.
There are three user-defined host attribute fields in Host Information views for providing additional host details. Initially, host attribute names are Location, Function and Asset Tag. Managers can customize host attribute names to match the terminology used in your organization. For example, if your organization assigns Inventory IDs to hosts, then "Asset Tag" may be changed to "Inventory ID" at the subscription level.
1. Go to Setup > Host Attributes.
Initially, host attributes appear as follows:
Attribute 1: Location
Attribute 2: Function
Attribute 3: Asset Tag
2. Replace any of the provided attribute names with the names you want to use.
3. Click Save.
