For accounts with a Pay Per Scan service option, you pay in advance for a set number of scans. When this option is enabled for your account, the service tracks scan information in your account settings and provides confirmation messages at scan time.
To view the number of scans available go to Help > Account Info. A Manager views the total number of purchased scans and remaining scans. Other users see just remaining scans. The current remaining scans are tracked as follows.
Vulnerability and Compliance Scans. Each time you scan a host, the scan is counted against the remaining scans for the account. When the Vulnerability Management (VM) module and the Policy Compliance (PC) module are both enabled for your account, each scan type is counted separately against the remaining scans. For example, if you perform a vulnerability scan and a compliance scan on the same target host, then the remaining scans count is decreased by 2 scans. Note that only hosts that are "alive" at the time of the scan will be counted, and subsequently subtracted from the number of scans remaining in your account.
Web Application Scans. Each time you scan a web application for vulnerabilities, the scan is counted against the remaining scans for the account, unless the scan status is "Error" or "Finished" with the message "no host alive". Web application discovery scans are not counted against the remaining scans.

Each time you launch or schedule a scan, a confirmation appears with the number of scans remaining in your account and the number of scans that may be used up by the task.
